Hello all,
Are you interested in competitive programming, problem solving, or preparing for technical interviews?
This year (2021-2022) , participate in a programming contest to improve your coding skills. Programming contests like the targeted ICPC event (for more info see below) feature a set of problems at different levels of difficulty, from very easy to challenging, and contestants solve them in one of the supported contest languages (Java, C/C++, Python). The contest is appropriate for all levels, from beginners to graduating students.
If you are interested, please fill-in the details in this short survey in the link: https://uwo.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0DO8RAJXUgTXCPc and we will email you with more info when it's available.
Here is more information about the ACM-ICPC programming contest:
For the next ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest)<https://icpc.global/> (2022 date still TBD) , the Computer Science department would like to start the participation process and form a qualified ICPC team that can take part in the upcoming North America NA Regional Contest<https://icpc.global/regionals/finder/North-Central-North-America-2021> under the supervision and coaching of the Computer Science Chair, Michael Domaratzki (mdomarat at uwo.ca<mailto:mdomarat at uwo.ca>) .
To become part of the qualified team(s), interested individuals/teams will have to participate in the online ICPC North America Qualifier<https://www.icpc.org/icpc-north-america-qualifier> (2022 date still TBD). Based on the results of the qualifier contest, the coach will use the results to select the top-finishing team(s) for the North America NA regional competition. Top teams from the regional competition will then advance to the World Finals.
The registration and event dates for all three 2022 competitions (NA Qualifier, Regional, and World Finals) are yet to be set by the organizers. BUT this would be the perfect time for interested individuals to get a head start, reach out to us, and even try out some problems from previous years.
So please let us know in the survey link above if you are interested and we will help provide you with the resources to start practicing :)
Thanks
Regards
