in the previous year (minimum 80% average) who is from Northern Ontario. Candidates must complete a one-page statement outlining the details regarding their Northern Ontario residency by September 30th to the Computer Science Department Office. The scholarship
committee in Computer Science will select the recipient. This scholarship was established by a generous donation from Professor Sylvia L. Osborn.</span></p>

all in Computer Science, from the University of Waterloo, she began teaching in Computer Science at Western. She taught for 40 years, until her retirement. She served on the University Senate, was Acting Chair of Computer Science and taught at every level
from introductory courses to advanced research topics. Dr. Osborn established this scholarship to encourage students from Northern Ontario to study Computer Science. Dr. Osborn died in 2018.</span></p>
