Hi CS students:
Are you interested in competitive programming, problem solving, or preparing for technical interviews? ICPC is a team programming contest that is held annually. Contests consist of several problems, with varying levels of difficulty. Last year's regional contest questions can be found here - https://icpc-ecna.ysu.edu/PastResults/2021/ecna2021.pdf Problems can be solved in any one of the supported contest languages (Java, C/C++, Python). The contest is appropriate for all levels, from beginners to graduating students.
If you are interested, please fill in this short survey by Monday, Jan 16: https://uwo.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2hOOntlkcPFwafY
For the next ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest)<https://icpc.global/> (2023 date tentatively Feb 25 in Windsor), the Computer Science department will be looking to form one of more teams for the upcoming North America ECNA Regional Contest<https://icpc.global/regionals/finder/East-Central-NA-2022>.
To prepare, there is also an individual contest on Saturday, February 4 (the ICPC North American Qualifier - https://na.icpc.global/home/naq/). When forming teams for the regional, preference will be given to those who have competed in the NAQ contest, if necessary.
If there is sufficient interest, we may organize practice sessions.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Mike
