Dear CS Program Directors,

The Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo has developed a program called the Undergraduate Research Fellowship (URF), which is a four-month, full-time, research-based internship. Students work directly with one of our faculty supervisors and their team of graduate students on a specific project. This email is distributed to program Directors across Canada as we are beginning to search for exceptional students enrolled in a Computer Science or related area for the Spring 2025 term. Students should be entering at least their third year and have an interest in graduate studies, as this opportunity is geared toward giving them the experience needed for future application. We would appreciate you distributing this message to your students and faculty and if you have anyone personally in mind for this program, to please forward their name and encourage them to apply.
